Train your Brain at The Science Museum

At the Steno Museum, both children and adults can go on a voyage of discovery into the fascinating development of science and medicine. The Steno Museum offers a lot of exiting and fun science activities  no matter if it is raining or snowing or the sun is beaming down from a cloudless sky.

If you are interested in astronomy, you can also explore the entire solar system with our Magic Planet and in the museum’s planetarium, guides take you on a tour through the stars, planets and black holes. Experience a presentation in the Planetarium saturdays and sundays at 12:00 and 14:00.

You can also learn about ground-breaking discoveries such as X-rays, penicillin, transistors and radio waves. Shiver at the sight of old surgical instruments and try your hand at Morse code with an electromagnetic telegraph. Or you can reflect on antenatal screening and modern body culture and ideals of beauty. but you can also relax in the fragrant medicinal herb garden and possibly enjoy your packed lunch. 

If the sun is shining, you can take a stroll or eat your lunch in the museum’s beautiful medicinal herb garden. Or end the day with a walk in the University Park or a visit to the Natural History Museum or the Museum of Ancient Art. 

It all begins at Foucault’s large pendulum in the foyer. Welcome to the Steno Museum!
