Peregrina

– blooming almost year-round, it’s truly a feast for the eyes.

Peregrina (Jatropha integerrima)
Peregrina - Jatropha integerrima

Peregrina has beautiful red flowers which bloom almost all year round. The flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds which come to drink the nectar.

Peregrina is commonly cultivated as a garden plant and in pots in tropical and subtropical regions.

Peregrina belongs to the spurge family and, like the majority of plants in this family, it contains a white latex that irritates the skin and is poisonous to ingest.
