Admission

Entry to the Greenhouses is free for everyone.

Groups and private arrangements

We kindly ask large groups planning a visit to the Greenhouses to notify us in advance. Please call our booking on +45 87 15 54 15 Tuesday-Friday 10.00-14.00.

It is not possible to have larger, private arrangements in the Greenhouses, e.g. weddings, bachelor parties or birthdays.

Places to eat

You can enjoy your packed lunch in the picnic area on the 1st floor or on the benches in the patio.
You can also buy your lunch in our café which serves traditional food with a twist and enjoy it in the cosy surroundings. 

Photos and video

You are welcome to film and take pictures for private use in the Greenhouses using ordinary handheld equipment. Tripods and further equipment are not allowed, and it is important that you comply with staff instructions.

It is important to contact us in advance if you want to film or take pictures for other purposes than private, e.g. press photos, photos for school papers etc.

Additional photo sessions, including wedding photography, commercial filming and photography as well as use of extra equipment, models etc. must be paid for. Prices depend on crew size and time consumption. Book a photo shoot at +45 87 15 54 15.

Accessibility for wheel chairs

Parking spaces for disabled persons are located close to the main entrance of the Greenhouses. In the Greenhouses wide paths provide easy access for wheelchairs.

Please note that the paths in the Botanical Garden can be steep in some places. The park contains both gravelled and paved paths.

Cloakroom

There is a cloakroom behind the café. No fee, but storage at your own risk. Self-service lockers can be found next to the cloakroom, deposit 10 DKK.

Wi-Fi

Contact the café for log-in to free Wi-Fi.

Animals

With exception of guide dogs it is not allowed to bring animals into the Greenhouses.

Smoking

The Greenhouses and the patio are non-smoking areas.

Getting here

The Botanical Garden and the Greenhouses are situated in the heart of Aarhus, only a 10-minute walk from the Cathedral.

By bus: Routes 2A, 3A and 5A all stop along the Botanical Garden. You can find alternative routes and timetables at www.midttrafik.dk.

By car: There is pay and display parking for cars and busses in the midst of the Botanical Garden. Go up Peter Holms Vej from Langelandsgade to reach the car park. Please remember to register your vehicle. The first two hours of parking are free.

By foot: It is possible to access the garden by several different footpaths from the city and Ringgaden.
