Maiden pink is an elegant perennial with blue-green stems and leaves and beautiful bright pink flowers.

If you study the flowers in detail, you can see that they have five petals, ten stamens and one twisted stylus.

Maiden pink is one of the wild Danish plants that is used as an ornamental in gardens or pots, and is available in many nurseries.

In addition to decoration, the petals may also be used to produce herbal schnapps.
