At the announcement of its annual list 'World’s greatest places,' the American magazine TIME included one of Aarhus University's buildings - the Ole Rømer Observatory in Aarhus.

In Kongelunden near Aarhus stands a beautiful observatory where, for over 100 years, people have observed the night sky and engaged in astronomy. However, time has not passed unnoticed on the building, and in 2021-22, a number of foundations and associations together contributed DKK 17 million to the restoration of the Ole Rømer Observatory and the development of a Science Park. In March 2023, the observatory made it to TIME's list of attractions for 2023, along with several other sights in Aarhus.
