The observatory is only open in connection with outreach activities.
During the dark months of the year, you can book a presentation for a closed group (in English) or purchase tickets for a star gazing tour (in Danish). A presentation lasts 1½ hours and must be booked two months in advance. Tickets go on sale on the first of each month for the following month.
Read more under Stargazing 2024.
During the spring half-term (week 7) and the autumn half-term (week 42), there are two presentations every day, including weekends, at 18:00 and 20:00 (only tickets, in Danish).
The Ole Rømer Observatory is typically opened 15 minutes before a presentation. Please note that the doors close at the start time, and there is no access to the presentation after that.
Join our exciting presentations and get a glimpse of distant stars and planets through the observatory's telescope, or learn about astronomy in the 112-year-old building - depending on the weather.
Please note! This season sold out. Ticket sales for next season open 1 August.
