MY MUSEUM HOLIDAY 2025

At the Steno Museum, a lot of interesting museum objects live their secret lives in the basement storeroom. Each of them has a special story to tell. Now six of the objects have gone on summer holiday in the exhibitions.

The six museum objects have each packed one item in their suitcase that relates to their story.
Now you can discover what was put in the suitcase by whom.

Explore the exhibitions and look for the six museum objects that have gone on summer holiday and the special thing they have brought with them from the past. Does the film roll belong to the doll? Maybe the camera needs a huge toothbrush? And what about the cow horn – who packed that?

Along the way, you can take a break and eat your packed lunches in the Medicinal herb garden. Here you can sit among medicinal plants and historical herbs and relax for a while.

Maybe you also want to travel under the stars in the Planetarium, draw in our drawing corner, see some of our curators' favourite objects or explore our exciting exhibitions.

My museum holiday at the Steno Museum invites the whole family to participate in a fun, creative activity and explore the natural sciences with a twinkle in the eye.

The summer sky and the bright nights in the Planetarium (in Danish)

Every day at 12 and 14 (except Mondays) you can experience the summer sky in the Planetarium. What can you see in the summer sky when there aren't many stars to see?

In the Planetarium, we can turn on the stars, and you can learn more about the bright nights. Price 30 DKK when the entrance fee is paid. Tickets are purchased at the entrance and cannot be pre-booked. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Please note that the presentation is in Danish.
