AUTUMN BREAK 2026. MISSION SAVE THE SPACESHIP

A computer has broken down, space debris threatens the journey home, and the Steno Spaceship needs your help. Are you ready for a space mission?

From 10–18 October 2026, Steno Museum will be transformed into a command centre for the brightest young astronauts on Earth. After several years in space, the Steno Spaceship is worn out and finally heading back to Earth. But before it can land safely, there are a few final – and potentially dangerous – challenges to overcome.

Bring your family and friends and set off on a mission through the museum. Solve the challenges along the way and help bring the spaceship safely back to Earth.

Go on a mission
Follow the clues through the museum and solve challenges along the way. Help the spaceship make its way back to Earth and land safely.

Enter the Engine Room
The spaceship's computer has broken down! In the Engine Room, you'll create data and discover patterns to help get it up and running again. The activities have been developed in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University.

Come aboard the spaceship
How does a spaceship navigate among the stars, stay in contact with Earth and get enough energy for the long journey home? Take on the challenges aboard the spaceship and help it make its way back to Earth.

Get ready for space travel
Ever wondered what it feels like to be an astronaut? Put on a spacesuit, get ready for space travel and take a photo to remember your space adventure.

Explore space debris and the stars in the Planetarium
The spaceship is almost home, but first it has to make its way through space debris orbiting Earth. In the Planetarium, we'll take a closer look at space debris before heading out among the stars and planets beneath the dome.

Shows begin at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00 and are recommended for children aged 6 and up. Tickets cost 30 kr. in addition to museum admission. 

The shows are in Danish.

Admission: Free for visitors under 18. Adults (18+): 60 kr.

Visit the Greenhouses

Continue your autumn break adventures at the Greenhouses in the Botanical Garden, where you can explore plants from around the world.

Open Monday–Friday from 9:00 to 16:00 and Saturday–Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00.
