EYES IN THE NIGHT. OCTOBER HALF-TERM 2025

Delve into the darkness. How does the world look through different eyes?

We guarantee an experience for all the senses when we open our doors at the Steno Museum this October half-term. Experience the octopus from the depths, look a pig deep in the eyes, trick your brain, and learn about the super senses of animals.

Program

Discover the inside of a pig’s eye!

Experience the dissection of a pig's eye and learn about the anatomy of the eye.

In collaboration with the Department of Biology, Aarhus University.

Do you dare?

What is light?

Divide white light into colours – and put them back together again. Test your sense of colour, look around corners, and get eyes in the back of your head.

Trick the brain

The brain only sees what it understands. We turn reality upside down – and discover things that aren't there.

Discover the super senses of animals

Are you sharp-eyed like an owl? How do insects and octopuses see? Find the clues at the museum and learn about the special abilities of animals.
